My first 'Finished-Object Friday'

Another first for me this week, 'Finished-Object Friday' with Tami's Amis.
I saw the Stitch Sampler Shawl pattern a while ago and thought it looked really pretty as well as being not too complicated to knit. I was however put off by the looooong rows so didn't start it until a few weeks ago. I needn't have worried, it was lovely to knit, came together really quickly and was fab for snuggling under while finishing the last few rows. I did have to wait for more yarn to arrive as the 6 skeins called for in the pattern weren't enough for me, but I got it finished this week and I'm really happy with it.

I have another project in the pipeline which I'm hoping to cast on later today. More info on that soon.

  4. Ooooh - I made the same shawl in the same colourway - it's fab. This winter I actually sewed the ends together and made it into a massive cowl :)

  8. Hi there! I missed your first WIP Wednesday post, but I'm glad to see a new face with Tamis Amis- it's a great way to find new blogs, gain readers, and make friends. Thank you for linking to the pattern- your shawl looks great! I've seen the yarn in the shops, but this is the first time I've seen anything actually made from it. Very nice color changes ^_^
    Okay I wrote a paragraph! sorry ;)

  9. Looks like a very soft and lofty yarn - I bet that shawl feels light as a wisp but is still snuggly warm!
